Do you take walk-ins? 

We do not take walk-ins. Contact your artist directly if you're curious about same day appointment availability.

Can I get tattooed as a minor with parental consent? 

You MUST be 18 years of age to be tattooed in the state of Oregon, regardless of parental consent. You can, however, schedule an appointment to get tattooed after you turn 18, or set up a consultation any time! 

What payment methods are accepted? 

Both of our artists accept cash, and have card processors. We do not have an ATM, so please contact your artist prior to your appointment if you have any questions regarding payment methods. 

Are you able to tattoo over stretch marks/ color on dark skin tones/ go over scar tissue, etc. 

Yes! All of these circumstances are handled on a case by case basis, as everyone is unique. If you have any questions or concerns about a potential tattoo, we encourage to contact your artist for a consultation! Both of our artists have experience tattooing all body types, skin tones, and skin textures, and are happy to help you figure out what is right for you and your specific needs.

Is your shop wheelchair accessible? 

Yes! There are no stairs to access our building, and while our suite is a two story unit, none of the client interactions happen on our top floor.

Can I bring a friend for support? 

Absolutely, please make sure to let your artist know you plan on bringing a guest. That said, we do ask that folks do not bring more than one guest to their appointment as our shop is quite small!

Can I get a tattoo while I'm pregnant? 

While it is not illegal, it isn't advised to get tattooed while you are pregnant. Doing so can take your body's focus off of your pregnancy, and direct it towards healing your tattoo, which can potentially cause complications. We opt not to tattoo folks who are pregnant to ensure everyone's safety. If you have questions regarding tattooing and breastfeeding, let us know! 

What are the weight restrictions on your furniture? 

Both of our artists beds are able to hold up to 450 lbs. If you need different accommodations, we have them available! Don't hesitate to let us know. Your comfort is of utmost priority to us.

How much do you charge? 

We have a $125 shop minimum and our artists charge individually- Kyrsta charges $150/hour and Anne charges $150/hour.

How can I book an appointment? 

Because we are an appointment only shop, you must directly contact your artist to set up a time to get tattooed. You can browse our portfolios here, and you'll find contact info with each artist's work. If you're unsure of who's style would be better suited for the piece you're interested in, contact the shop at Summerlandtattoo@gmail.com and we'll happily answer any questions you have and get you set up with the right artist. 

Will your artists design a tattoo for me without me having booked any appointment? 

This is determined on an artist by artist basis, and the amount of time we have available. If you're interested in reaching out about having a tattoo designed prior to booking an appointment, contact the artist you wish to talk with directly and they'll explain their individual policies! It's not uncommon for our artists to request a non refundable art deposit (amount varying to accommodate for more of less time and detail required) to draw up art unrelated to an appointment, to ensure that they are compensated for their time.

Are appointment deposits refundable? 

They are not refundable, but they are transferable in some instances if you need to reschedule. While we absolutely understand that life can be unpredictable, please attempt to reach your artist as soon as you possibly can to inform them if you are unable to make it to your scheduled appointment.

I reached out to an artist/the shop email, but I haven't heard back. When will I? 

To help ensure a healthy work life balance for our artists, we respond to messages and emails when we are at the shop, as opposed to responding on our personal time. Your artist will get back to you as soon as they are able and available! We do have notifications on, so we absolutely will see your contact ASAP if there is an emergency situation that requires a prompt response, and will act accordingly.

Do you do coverups/finish existing work? 

Contact your artist directly for this, as it is determined on a case by case basis!
